700 years since Dante's death
Pre-Milton,no other focus upon Death &Judgement
has resonated as deeply as Dante(in translation)
Comedy,Divine,Spiritual Transformational Allegory-
it does not matter that Purgatory has been abolished (like Limbo)
For every cognitive soul still self-judges and is judged
and many still seek self-purification-from the Hell of Hiroshima/Fukushima
to the Eden of a Heavenly Reward. From Pain ,suffering in Stoic Acceptance,
leading to Purgation/Transformation,distilling learning until Purity is restored,
and Eden can begin again.This process of purgation -both Catholic ,Buddhist and Zen-
processing to Satori,Samsara or Eden,may be a cycle of Reincarnation(or not)
Are we to learn the Ways of Heaven here on Earth? Ask Dante
