Van der Graaf Generator’s Hugh Banton along with ex-members David Jackson and Judge Smith make guest appearance on Dutch musician Mr Averell’s second album Gridlock.
They’re joined by John Ellis, who’s worked with Peter Gabriel, Peter Hammill and the Stranglers; Lene Lovich; and David Bowie collaborator Mike Garson.
Mr Averell is a pseudonym of visual sound artist Rene van Commenee, who releases his song-based work under the alternative title. He first worked with Jackson a decade ago in a duo, and they released the album Batteries Included together.
