Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?
GROWING STORIES
IT IS WINTER,&THE TRIBE
were hungry.For stories.Of their beginnings.
They looked around them-snow.dark.cold.
How can we survive this winter?
Father said "Be warriors.Be hunters.
Seek in this world that which sustains you.
Bring it back to share with those who are of you"
Grandmother said-"Listen to your ancestors.
Plant seeds now,when ground is soft and fallow.
When Seasons change=new harvests of abundance!
Mothers urged all children to learn from their parents
Example is their best and only teacher.For tribe to survive
every one must seek to be alive/engaging present,past and future..
