THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

TACTILE TREE

SO WE GATHER

as we have always gathered

in circles and in spirals

round fire and by candles

deep in the dark night

of the shortest day and the longest night

we become spark and Light.Moon power by night.

We listen to each other and ourselves.Solstice

simply means we go inner as well as out

We look into each other and ourselves

We use poem,prayer,chant,ritual,anthem

to incant a way through this time passage

so we may greet each other in a new way

much like the old way.Only we have transformed

and will never be the same again

Until we meet again.
