THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

ACTUALLY, NOT

i have trust and confidence

in the people i know who are active

enough to activate where they are

with fellow flyers of parallel intentions

i have done poetry with those of OCCUPY

done Yoga with EXTINCTION REBELLION  folk

and ,whenever there is a chance for peace

will join with poets,artists and musicians

in trust that a greater good will erupt

when energetic ingredients are sufficient

i am not the only one with such confidence

Every open mic brings new fish to the stone soup

They add TRUTH to the flavor/PASSION to the mix

and share divergent opinions with brave confidence..

There were never any guarantees of complete success

Intrinsic is the quality.Participation the key

We share continuing conversations,to increase and compound positive energies..
