cultural continuity gets cut/edited/censored to absurdity
like Lamb's TALES FROM SHAKESPEARE.No sex,drugs,magic-
just prosaic plots with no bloodstains on the folio pages.Bukowski shared
his Los Angeles life,just as Raymond Chandler and noir novelists.L.A has morphed
from Blue Dahlia to homeless encampments.So stories change-but we can go back to Dashell Hammett
as a written time capsule of a disappearing age.Buildings demolished.People passed.Landscapes change,
as must the sharing of them in scripts,stories,songs and poems.2019 on its last breaths-
Thanksgiving and Christmas mean Black Friday and Christmas Sales.Mammon and Baal replace Santa Claus.
Movies are schmaltz and saccharine sentiment.Turkey sedated,television addicted,Amazon Prime replaces Amazonia
and stories are lost dogs and fire rescues.Revolution will have to wait for the New Year.Same for EXTINCTION REBELLION.
No use protesting or impeaching if no one is caring,watching or SHARING on Facebook.Witnesses?
