Gonzo Weekly #395/6

Gonzo Weekly #395/6
THE DIZZY MISS LIZZIE ISSUE
www.gonzoweekly.com

In yet another singularly non-standard issue we discuss what is going to happen next? Is the new normal anything like the old normal? Are we facing Utopia or Dystopia? While we ponder this we can join in a conversation between Kev and the lovely Liz Lenten who once again produces another exquisite slice of Americana from her trailer park that she shares with the ghost of Gram Parsons. (That is a complete lie, she lives in rural Lincolnshire). Alan, meanwhile talks about statues and their cultural significance, and totally coincidentally talks about Steven Fry and Green Myths.Jon, however, waxes lyrical over the new album by Bob Dylan, a timely belated issue of an album by Neil Young, and the extraordinary debut book by Dara McAnulty. And is there more? You can be there is...

And there are radio shows from Mack Maloney and Friday Night Progressive, AND Merrell Fankhauser, and the Real Music Cloub, but no sign of Strange Fruit this week, there is a column from Kev Rowland, and one from C J Stone, but Mr Biffo, Neil Nixon and Roy Weard, are on hiatus. There is also a collection of more news, reviews, views, interviews and di8bblers who have got the blues (OK, nothing to do with tiny marsupials who are listening to the new Bob Dylan album, but I got carried away with things that rhymed with OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at. And the best part is IT's ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
