THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WHERE TO HIDE

No doubt you are "sheltering in place"

Unlike all previous plagues

this one is largely prevented

by hygiene,distancing,washing

and sheltering in place.Unlike Daniel Defoe's plague-

or Albert Camus,or Petrach's'-Shakespeare's plague,or Mary Shelley's.

Plagues have hit London,Rome,-even America.Pandemics

involve the whole known world.Antartica is free of it,because it is largely free of us.

Iceland is getting free,as is New Zealand.The cost is quarantine,if you are importing plague.

This is now happening between States-those infected and those importing infections.

You CAN hide-in caves,homes,Monasteries,deserts,where distancing rules.

But it is best not to pretend -that this pandemic will soon end.
