Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WHT WE DO & SAY HAS SIGNIFICANCE

WITNESSES & PARTICIPANTS

Diamond laughter in the dross and detritus

Surround yourself with laughter or with decadence

Choice is simply-stasis or a new dance

The past is dead bones and skeletons

People repeat because they have only had one experience

god or elvis,trump or abbott-bow down to other powers

grass or UFOs,speed or acid,powders or pharmaceuticals

choice of distractions so huge-Netflix,Prime,Disney +

You still have to PAY PER VIEW-emotional fast food

Last night ,i watched TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7

It was a FREE  Netflix screening via Alamo Drafthouse and Youtube

I do not pay to be distracted-but i watched this closely

Our lives are now the subject of modern documentaries

Never thought i would see my adolescence projected as history

I read Norman Mailer,walked in Moritoria,was for peace not Vietnam Wars

I liked the Quakers,Yippies,absurd surrealist Abbie Hoffman

and (later)Wavy Gravy -the poet turned clown Digger @Woodstock

"breakfast in bed for 400,000).You see-there are living examples of altruism

And they are among us in the snowstorms of rightwing Texas

The same Texas that killed Kennedy also gave us Butthole Surfers and Willy Nelson

For the cesspools of Dallas and Houston,we have the Village of Little Austin

and sometime sparks from Wandering Wimberley and Sweet Salado

Dig in the dirt long enough, you will find treasure

As the 60s said-STAY COOL!CHILL OUT!DIG IT!
