Many prominent people involved with oldies pop music died during 2015

Lengendary blues singer-guitarist B.B. King was one of many significant musicians who died in 2015.

During the year 2015, there were a number of noteworthy deaths of prominent and influential people in connection with American oldies pop music.

Included among the departed solo singers were Percy Sledge, Lesley Gore, B.B. King, Ben E. King and Natalie Cole, and this article attempts to remember those who died in 2015 and left their legacies for fans of oldies music to enjoy forever.

In addition, the 2015 deaths included members of prominent singing groups, including Jim Ed Brown of The Browns, Jack Ely of The Kingsmen, William Guest of The Pips and Stevie Wright of The Easybeats.
