MATERIAL &MATERIALITY
to the assigning of
relationships
to spatial dimensions,and quantum
links
to all states of
being.Emotions,thoughts,feelings-
all have electrical valence.Their speed and
alacrity defy us.
Robots may imitate/yet their very existence
is proof
that consiousness holds both space and time
in this moment.
Your awareness can be quantified.Your IQ
measured.
Why then dispute that consciousness is a
parallel state of being/
a self-reflexive
meditation.Action/reaction-like pain /or love.
States of being are vital to our connection
with all sentience.
Matter is easy to measure.As are electrical
impulses.
Vital it is ,in these days of
Higgs-Boson/that we enlarge our concepts
of what form consiousness takes,and how we
can find a larger space for it in our own time...
This seems limited to me. A key
element of all consciousness is reflection (this is why one questions whether
sociopaths have consciousness). Conscience, shame, epiphany. I don't see
assembling of information as a prerequisite, because I don't see epiphany as
necessarily logical / a conclusion
