Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! EYE AM ONE(WITH SPARROWS & WITH PIGEONS

Mourning doves coo early daylight to me

There is less difference in generic

When you see one bird(you do not see me

Yet,when you hear my bird call...

Now,eye can only be in one spot@a time

Try between two haystacks(starve and die

She lives in Florence and in Austin

 He in San Fran and our little A-town

Both beam reflections of adoptions

 I can only be here and now for /with you

Until your eyes turn away..again..

WHEN EYE GO BACK(LESS IS LEFT

All moved on(Homes demolished

(My heart travels with me/it knows where to stay

Even if i give it freely/it will not run away)

Yet every evidence and artifact

of birth/childhood/adolescence

is somewhere else in a cloudy haze

Pretending to be memories days

And what i speak.And what i say

It has moved on also.It will not stay.
