A fish and chip shop in Cardiff is opening its doors on Christmas Day to provide free food for people who are homeless, older or vulnerable.
Victoria Fish Bar, which is based in Whitchurch, will be open between 12-3pm on 25 December to give out warm meals and to bring people together to "experience a great time".
In a post on Facebook, which has been shared thousands of times, staff said: "We realise that not everybody has the luxury to have a nice warm meal at a loved one’s house with family and friends, so we will try very hard on the day to emulate such an experience".

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
