HAWKWIND: Pictures from Preston

Some of Davey C's pix from the recent Hawkwind gig at Preston's 53 Degrees hall. This one taken during their performance of "The Golden Void," by the looks of it.

L-R: Mr Dibs (bass 2), dancer, Michal Sosna (guest sax), Dave Brock, Nial Hone (bass 1), dancer. Not seen here: Tim Blake, Dead Fred, and Richard Chadwick.

Towards the end of the main set.

If the stage show in Preston was similar to the gig I saw in Seaton, this is probably them doing "Opa Loka" from the "Warrior" album. And, no, Dave Brock didn't play bass on this rendition!

From this angle, the dancer looks like a caveman in fur-skins...

Another view of the golden giant during "The Golden Void", and Mr Dibs handling some more vocals. He did almost all of them at Seaton - including on "Silver Machine," which was Richard Chadwick's province in 2010-2012.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
