Hawkwind to play animal charity show

hawkwind

Hawkwind will perform classic album Space Ritual in full during a one-off show to raise funds for animal charities.
Rock 4 Rescue is set to take place at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on February 22. Hosted by TV presenter and Hawkwind fan Matthew Wright, the evening will support Wet Nose Animal Aid, Animals Asia, Team Badger and Doris Banham Dog Rescue. Tickets are on sale now.
The band are gearing up for their first UK tour since mainman Dave Brock won a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Prog Awards. They were recently forced to postpone a US tour after he was diagnosed with stress related to a rights struggle with former member Nik Turner.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
