BINKY WOMACK: Another Belgium review translated

Another Belgium review translated:
BINKY WOMACK - WOMACK STYLE

However, the more specialized music fans will certainly duo "Womack and Womack 'with Cecil Womack and his wife Linda remember their hit singles" Love Wars "from 1984 or" Teardrops "from 1988. The biggest Womack was R & B and soul legend Bobby Womack who died of cancer at the age of 70 in June 2014, but then in a more than 40-year successful music career could look back.
For this review we will, however, over yet another Womack, namely Binky Womack, the cousin of Bobby and son of Cecil and Linda. He is like for many years active in the music as a multi-instrumentalist, producer and now as a singer-songwriter of the twelve songs on his album "Womack Style".

Most of these tracks are compositions by Binky Womack and he plays almost all the instruments on the songs you can listen to "Womack Style". In terms of style applied may add his work to the familiar 'Womack' material from the musical past. Especially his dynamic guitar playing to the songs on this album still does make some impression.

Solid songs on the CD are soul rock opener "Sunday Morning" and "When You're Wrong," and "Me & My Guitar," "Love Is" and Bobby Womack's hit "Put Something Down On It" (see video) blues influences show and "Malibu Nights" contains elements from jazz. The funky song "Love Addict" do "Snoop Dogg" a little rap and Binky also brings a second tribute to his uncle with a cover version of Bobby Womack in the 70s composed "I'm In Love".

On the other hand, he is more like the ballads-tour in the song "Just Enough", the soulful declaration of love in "Nobody Loves Me Like You", in the R & B ballad "Must Be Nice" and the soulful cover of John Mayer's classic " Gravity ". Or Binky Womack with this album the success of his famous uncle will be able to match seems an almost impossible task, but a creditable attempt this album, "Womack Style" already does.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
