THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

CULTURAL CONTINUITY
THERE ARE THOSE SPACES
so totally owned by their history
One dare not offer an original vision
Others as ancient as forever
Accessed by Dreaming,i live in these moments
I grew in the dream of Australia
It has had many names and languages
No one can ever claim to own her
Dutch and Spanish came and left
English dumped their Irish here
Europa is young when compared with Australia
TERRA INCOGNITA,Great South Land,Gondawanaland-
Before us-tribes(hunter-gatherers).A few fisherfolk/oyster farmers
No permanent habitation.No buildings .No slums.No trash heaps-just middens
The stories of land and air / flora and fauna are largely lost
but can be accessed via Dreamtime./Yorro Yorro.
Time has no beginning,time has no end.
We were living in The Timeless Land.
