It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?
WHEN I WAS ASKED
IF WE CAN WISH OUR WAY OUT
I replied that rational appeals had
failed
All that we have is blind energetic
irrational optimism
with absolutely no definable
results/nor proven efficacy..
Like self-managed asylums,or hospitals
run by the patients
autonomy may be a desired outcome-but
we are woven together inextricably..
Some desire to leave this only earth-to
somehow live in space.
But space is cool and dark and cold to
that idea/full of space junk from failed attempts..
Those selling circus sub-orbital
flights for weightlessness are hucksters and opportunists.
Those who posit a moon base and a
manned Mars are delusional.
Dreams sell highly when the market
needs new ones-
but these are recycled science fiction
memes from Flash Gordon,Dick Tracy or Star Trek.
We are here together,consuming and
polluting together
