THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WE ARE NOT REPRESENTED-

by that i mean those who have to stand on street corners to have their views heard and seen

or gather in coffee shops to discuss better dreaming

Those who write.Those who write letters.Those who write Letters to the Editor.

Those Quakers,Shakers,Atheists Feeding Homeless this morning under IH35

Those too young to be heard.Those too old to be listened to.

Those without a language.Those with extreme medical conditions.

Those who have read Voltaire-and smile when hearing "best of all possible worlds"

Those who have not yet given up.Those who persist in idealism and compassion.

Those who respect the past but seek a peaceful and prosperous future

Those who must talk with each other when the public dialogue is hateful and hurtful

Those with little access to mass media-back to leaflet,assembly and community

Those who function best by example,who find less to emulate

Those who see this evolution as a journey,not an end or Armageddon

Those who number those parts of you who feel they are not listened to...

They are still singing,writing,dancing,smiling,with every joy that is possible in July 2019

And in the evolving future..
