THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WHEN WIM WENDERS CAME TO THE MELBOURNE FILM FESTIVAL
He screened his new film which had no title-he could not decide  between
ANGELS OVER BERLIN or WINGS OF DESIRE.You know now his final choice-
but that and SLACKER were two films i watched twice-for both were innovative and inspiring.
I LIKE the idea of Angels-omniscient beings who witness and protect us
who have wings and powers stronger than ours.I like the idea of Guardian Angels,
and one's Personal Angel to guide and guard us from personal folly.Soon it will be Halloween
with children dressed as witches begging for future dental bills.I love Autumn and Full (Blue)Moons.
I love the fall of leaves and the paintbrushed trees.Darkness can wait-
i love all luminous Nature ,and all Beings of Light,Love and Laughter.
Let there be Millions of Angels!May they Beam with Brightness and Joy!
May this Earthly Heaven be both Preview and Feature Length Epic
to get us ready for Enlightening Futures.May we be Open enough
to LOVE WHAT IS,and let our Angels open our eyes further
TO WHAT MIGHT BE...

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
