The Beatles’ 1968 legendary release known as the "White Album" was a double album, but imagine if it had been a triple one. Seattle’s famed Beatles tribute band, Apple Jam, is now recording that third album, producer Steve Roseta has told us today, July 18, 2013. Steve said, "The working title is '1968.' It will showcase never-released Beatles songs composed in 1968 during the White Album sessions.”
Steve says after many months of keeping this under wraps, they are ready to begin publicly talking about it; they are appearing on theBob Rivers Radio Show tomorrow, July 19, at 9:40 a.m. Fans can listen in at that time (PST) to hear them perform, as well as view on the internet.
Roseta tells us that during the Bob Rivers show tomorrow, Apple Jam will perform three White Album standards: Rocky Raccoon, I Will, and Honey Pie; and said “Rick (Lovrovich, lead vocals, bass) said ‘Honey Pie’ is quite a complicated song, and we are pretty sure Paul has never performed it live.”
Apple Jam is not yet revealing exactly which unreleased material they are recording for the album. Steve said, “Look for an album debut concert in Seattle later in the year. This show will be very special, and we want to be sure everyone who wants to go can attend. Our goal is for the show to fall around the 45th anniversary of the release of the White Album - Nov 22, 2013, but scheduling is still in the works. Fans can expect the ‘White Album Sessions’ concert to be 35% never released songs and 65% best of the ‘White Album.’”
Internationally acclaimed Apple Jam accurately reproduces music from the Beatles full repertoire, including solo years, and never-released songs. They have performed incredible shows to thousands across the Northwest, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. In 2009 Apple Jam headlined International Beatle Week in Liverpool with Alan White, legendary drummer for Yes, John Lennon, George Harrison, and others. In 2011 and 2012, they headlined the Tampere Beatles Happening in Finland.
