Hawkwind. Guitarist/singer/composer and co-founding member Dave Brock is the only original left from the hippies who emerged from the UK’s late-’60s blues-rock acid bath and has since splintered, fizzled, de-Lemmy’d, gone away and been reconstituted to this, their most stable six-piece unit. Given a 20-year absence from these shores and a promise/threat to run through 1975 release/current re-release Warrior on the Edge of Time (hope they packed the flute) it’s a case of ready or not, here they come.
