Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" AIR CONDITIONING WON THE WEST
Fans in bars and saloons
circulated the heated conversations around
In Wild West days,travel was slow as horses
cattle needed to sleep @night
They were sung to by cowboys
who used lullabyes and yodels
to "soothe the savage b(r)east"
No one wants a stampede
No one wants a run on the banks
No one wants a STATE OF EMERGENCY
No body wants MARTIAL LAW
That is why there is as yet no stampede
even though the Government is gridlocked
and no safe passage for debt is apparent
Sing to your dreams,o sleeping citizens
No stampedes(please)when you wake up!
