Jon Anderson & Matt Malley: The Family Circle (Fireworks Mag) UK review

We don’t usually cover “singles” in SSSOR, however there have been a number  of worthy one track releases of late, so here’s a quick round-up...

The joining of a Yes legend and former bassist from Counting Crows may not seem the most obvious union, however teaming up for the charity single ‘FAMILY CIRCLE’, JON ANDERSON & MATT MALLEY easily prove otherwise. The spiritual themes, piano base and gentle synth washes take us deep into expected Anderson territory and yet the hand percussion and more contemporary melody brings something new. With all the money raised going to Flutie Foundation, Sahaja Yoga Meditation and The National Autistic Society, head to iTunes to both purchase a lovely piece of music and donate to worthy causes.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
