A TRIBUTE album made by friends of a much-loved Chepstow landlady who died earlier this year will be officially launched on Friday.
Keen musician Alison Beasley ran The White Lion/Pye Corner, grew up in Bulwark and attended Chepstow School. The Electric Landlady CD will be unveiled at the Severn Bridge Social Club in Bulwark.
All monies will go to the St David’s Hospice charity, which cared for Ms Beasley at the end of her life.
After Ms Beasley died in March, friends wrote original songs that have been recorded in her friend Paul Hobday’s home recording studio in Chepstow. One was donated by another of Ms Beasley’s friends, Yes and Asia keyboardist Geoff Downes.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
