BYRDS: MusicWorks’ concert to benefit HPS

STUART — MusicWorks is announcing that Grammy award winner Roger McGuinn, frontman and co-founder of The Byrds, will entertain fans in a benefit concert for Helping People Succeed at the Lyric Theatre, 59 S.W. Flagler Avenue, Stuart, at 7 p.m., Wed., March 9.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous supporter, who has donated concert tickets for the one-night performance, Helping People Succeed has 20 benefit tickets available for purchase, which include the concert and a pre-event reception at 5:30 p.m. at The Gafford restaurant on Flagler Avenue. Regular tickets may be purchased through the Lyric by calling the box office at 772-286-7827 or online at http://www.lyrictheatre.com. Seats range in price from $29 to $75. Premium seating is available.
McGuinn developed a unique folk/rock style that resulted in timeless hits that include "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn, Turn, Turn." Years later, the solo acoustic performer has returned to his first love, folk music and continues to entertain his audiences.
