Eric Burdon & The Animals Announce First Aus Shows In Nearly A Decade

Slated in to headline the upcoming Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival in May, blues legend Eric Burdon & The Animals has announced that they won't be leaving without a headline tour as well.

The '60s rock'n'roll king will head to seven dates across the country, playing with acts like Kevin Borich Express in Sydney and Thirroul, as well as Aus rockers Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows and soulstressRenee Geyer in Melbourne.

It's been close to a decade since the Brits graced our stages, Burdon having shared stages with icons like Chuck Berry, Otis Redding and Jimi Hendrix in his storied half-a-century career.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
