THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

or emailing future dream visits to present time folk

i derail myself.Stop.Meditate.Read THE DIVINE COMEDY

(i went to Dante's home in Florence.,but he was not there..)

i LIKE the idea of PARADISE and share it (like Milton

i like William Blake and all his pastel angels

i like the way the past is set in small print,while headlines BLARE

i like to change garments-from grump to gratitude.ODE TO JOY

i know the past is a foundation upon which we forget

i like to go back to see how the building stands

Translations give me Russian,Italian,Spanish dreams

And mystical Hafiz,Kabir and Rumi(via Shams

who never wrote anything.Just like Jesus.Just like Socrates.

When my attitude changes,i give respect to my ancestors

and embrace the river of this present moment.Swim,surf,drown-

what happened before will never happen again.I have been wrong before

and will probably be wrong again..Time for another change..in latitudes..
