What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

As do virtual Empires
Scandals at UBER force out aberrant CEOs
While ME, TOO decimates Hollywood celebrities(and musicians)
Faux news and hacking of personal data destroys Internet credibility
And military governments close down FACEBOOK faster than you can say "censorship"
WIKILEAKS used to expose corruption, but it,too is tracked and fed bad data.
Hence, the simple solution-shift corporate media to government media-
whether controlled ,banned, diluted or with a parallel entity
FACEBOOK and GOOGLE are no longer Universal Sources.
GOOGLE EARTH has always been censored(military installations/Corporate spying)
FACEBOOK is accused of selling or exposing personal data(Cambridge Analytica scandal)
Both are being subjected to strict scrutiny-and have only controlled access in China.
India may follow..which means information is power, and censored news means propaganda..

India: The government’s new proposal to force internet giants to remove content it views as harmful is drawing comparisons to China’s strict censorship system. Platforms affected could include Facebook, Google, TikTok, and more. The result?  “A splintering internet, where a onetime unified information superhighway has become increasingly restricted in certain areas,” writes the NYT
