All have been graffitied,tagged,scarred
No wonder our diamonds are miniatures

No wonder our need for a National Trust
for Avebury,Stonehenge,Callanish
From Kubla Khan(Coleridge version)to China's Great Wall
We trust stone will outlast us-Catacombs,Colosseums,Burial Chambers
Then we dig them up from Leeds Shopping Centers
Swords from Lakes,bodies from Egyptian graves
What is Sacred as a point of Pilgrimage
exists because we ascribe significance..
If we regarded coal as more important than diamonds
there would be no Great Barrier Reef
