A very few telephone (just to talk and catch up for a while)
Young video chat,IM,Text and Tweet.I email and Fakebook
needing to share new poesies.We need to talk.To listen and to breathe .
We need the reassurance of more than eyes upon a screen.
These hands are for hugging.These arms are for peace.
I will not blame anything other than Covid 19.Virus don't care!
But we do-we miss venues where cultural collaborations could resonate
Improvisations of jazz and sweet surprises.Art where colors splash their happiness.
And all of these an Exhibition of Emergent Humanity.So-we write-
cards and letters ,notes and flowers.It is to affirm you-
that Muse that winter sleeps through this.To assuage anxieties and stress.
To elevate and levitate when we both meditate
upon our common humanity.Check your mail!
There may be the seeds of a future tree smiling and waving!
