Brian Appleton's History Of The World In Three Darts

With his domestic philosopher John Shuttleworth back in Sheffield, fretting over whether to plump for cake or a biscuit with a cup of tea, Graham Fellows revives another of his sublime creations.

Brian Appleton is a deluded "rock musicologist", whose history of pop is studded with bitter tales of how he's had a hand (uncredited, the bastards) in the creation of myriad hits and movements.

In History of the World in 3 Darts he casts his net wider – but there'll still be time for such "hits" as "My Turn to Be Poorly": the song that "inspired Morrissey to form the Smiths".

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
