MJ12 is a jazz / fusion / progressive college in which the legendary bassist Percy Jones Group Brand X . The album was recorded during the summer 2015 to the Shelter Island Studios in Manhattan. Jones is also part of Soft Machine and participated in recordings ofDavid Sylvian, Brian Eno, Steve Hackett, Paranoise, Suzanne Vega, Richard Barbieri andFovea Hex .

It is also known for his bass playing very personal and virtuoso based on three-finger technique, a fretless Fender at the beginning, then a low Wal produced by Eletric Wood Limited UK and finally bass Ibanez custom made.

MJ12 comes from Majestik 12, a group of 12 engineers and scientists grouped in the late 40s to study UFOs  : the existence of this group has not been verified.
The group also consists of Stephen Moses on drums, Dave Phelps on guitar and Chris Bacassaxophone.
The tracks on the album are remarkably executed and show the quality of this quartet. The moods are varied in a very rhythmic jazz-rock tone, like The Wow signal that shows the talents of drummer Stephen Moses .

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
