It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! GUNS BY THEMSELVES SIT ON SHELVES
LOCKED&WITH PRICE TAGS
It is when they are in the hands of
children&elders
that accidents,negligence or violence
cause damage
Simple enough to lock all guns away
from children
Harder to pry guns from the hands of
elders
and from those who use weapons for
crimes of violence..
We authorize police and army to kill(if
necessary)
We also equip them with training in
non-lethal responses
Here is where casualties can be
reduced-
by focusing upon appropriate
(proportionate)responses to violence
So that murder by police is
stopped
And massacres at civilian spaces might
be limited
Something must be done-before we become
immune
to the deaths of civilians living in a
free fire zone
