Here we have the twenty-seventh episode of the relaunched webTV show by the Centre for Fortean Zoology, written and presented by Jon Downes and Charlotte Phillipson, their families and other animals. YOUR DESIRE TO LIVE
changes everything.It marshals energies
you did not know you had.Willpower.Hope.Determination-
these are not found in any pill, potion or pharmacy.
They are found in the glint of eye, smile on face
and an ability to connect to all Life Force
in order to continue .Once those buried
had a bell to ring in case they woke up from a coma in a coffin
and wanted to let folk know they were still alive.
We all know people who have cheated death far too many times-
elders who thrive with no visible means of emotional support.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE@ALL TIMES

Just need to believe that this is true-for you..

'The Treachery of Images "comes when social credit/control authorities
continuously surveil students/citizens/random shoppers
in order to control their conduct via categorization.
Chinese use drone cameras small as birds.Universities and airports
use facial recognition and emotion recognition technology.
This is done without permission of those filmed/photographed.
Hence disappearing datasets (Duke University/Brainwash cafe)
now that crude categorization has been found inadequate.
This began with Amazon Mechanical Turk object recognition subsets(nouns only!).
Millions of images of "Plants,Geologic Formations,Natural Objects,

Sexuality and criminality are social &political categories-and they change

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN @ ANYTIME

Waking up in a storm is a miracle
We take for granted breath/and life

Wise if you live among dragons/to learn their prowl paths
Heaven and Hell are more than metaphors

And dragons mean more than Elementals

KEV REVIEWS RAZ

The Raz Band have been around for more than 35 years, based around Michael ‘Raz’ Rescigno on guitar and vocals, Jeff ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson on drums and vocals, Jim Manzo on bass and vocals, and Joey Molland on guitar vocals and production. Yes, that Joey Molland, from Badfinger among others.

This is, as one might have figured out already, their ninth studio album and for those who wonder where the name comes from then they perform “Call Me Raz” which tells the story (basically no-one could pronounce Rescigno’s surname). It feels very much like a late Seventies album, the sort of music which came out of the pub rock scene in the UK combining with the punk ethic from the States. Apparently they have worked with Marky Ramone and that makes total sense to me from a musical perspective although the songs are somewhat slower.

Gonzo Weekly #361/2

Gonzo Weekly #361/2
THE GARDENING ISSUE
http://www.gonzoweekly.com/
In this peculiarly horticultural issue, Kev meets the legendary Martin Springhett of the Gardening Club, Doug critiques the King of the Wild Frontier, Adam Ant, Alan talks Tau, Steve investigates the music scene in Portugal, there is more animal rescue with PAART, Jeremy talks about Jim Bob and Alice Cooper, and Jon gets all paranoid and Kafkaesque.
Now THAT's what I call eclectic!
Hail Eris!
And there are radio shows from Mack Maloney and Friday Night Progressive AND Canterbury sans Frontieres AND Strange Fruit AND Merrell Fankhauser, there is a column from Kev Rowland but Mr Biffo, C J Stone, and Roy Weard, Neil Nixon and the irrepressible Corinna are on hiatus. There is also a collection of more news, reviews, views, interviews and antichinuses who have lost their shoes (OK, nothing to do with tiny marsupials who are searching for their footwear, but I got carried away with things that rhymed with OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at. And the best part is IT's ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!
This issue features:
Extinction Rebellion, Leonard Cohen, PETA, Paul McCartney, Elton John, John Lennon, Gentle Giant, The Who, Tommy, Ginger Baker, Kofi Baker, Iggy Pop, Kevin Rowland, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Stevie Wonder, Mick Fleetwood, Fleetwood Mac, Ronnie Wood, Strange Fruit, Friday Night Progressive, Canterbury Sans Frontieres, The Merrell Fankhauser Radio Show, Mack Maloney's Mystery Hour, Peter Hobbs, Garry Koehler, Milcho Leviev, Dr. Kadri Gopalnath, Malcolm "Molly" Duncan, Steve Douglas Cash, Choi Jin-ri, Jay Frank, Kenny Dixon, George Chambers, Humberto Vicente Castagna, Hossein Dehlavi, MĂ¡rta KurtĂ¡g (nĂ©e MĂ¡rta Kinsker, often Marta Kurtag, Raymond Santos, Michael Flaksman, Raymond John Leppard CBE, Hans (Johannes Wolfgang) Zender, Rolando Panerai, Rick Wakeman, Gerry Beckley, The Waterson Family, The Fall, Richard Wright and Dave Harris-Zee, Chasing the Monsoon, Kev Rowland, Martin Springett, Steve Andrews, Music of Portugal, Piece of Cake, Captain Boy, Marinho, Time for T, Museum Museum, Rope Walkers, Carrie Tree, Doug Harr, Adam Ant, PAART, Alan Dearling, Tau, Alice Ancient, The Butterfly Wheel, Jeremy Smith, Tim Rundall, Ferocious Dog, Jim Bob, Fruitbat, Alice Cooper, The Stranglers, MC50, Mark Wingfield, Blind Justice, Barros, Axegrinder, Yagull, Michael-Alan Taylor, Tony Klinger, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Jonathan Downes, The Wild Colonial Boy, Thom the World Poet

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
