"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
EXPLORATORES
SOMEONE WILL ALWAYS GO FURTHER
Tap upon the empty door for the Census-and if a tiger replies
will challenge the rights of tigers to mistreat visitors
Someone will enter the Caves of Unknowing,asking Plato
why was he so worried about shades and shapes and shadows
Is not the Light the same over Time and Space?
And,if challenged,will bend theories into songs,and recycle images and cliches
so they sound like fresh stew in the Stone Soup.Someone always does-
and if you are that explorator/you already know all this..You journey
for the grist,the crack,the joy of learning something new each day.
It has always been this way...And nights mean more stars,constellations,galaxies of influences
Every step another open door.Whatever awaits the explorator/may mean bear or tiger's claws
