SEASON OF LOVE CONFLICTED
between the aspirational and actual
between the pink skin and the brown
between the power play and the bloodied victims
Between the Borders and the Police
between the one percent and you and me
between do-gooders and the volunteers
between the carers and the need
between this winter and new Spring
between the spoken silence when it sings
in the WHOOSH of landing wings-
eagle,hawk more likely turkey vulture
victim transforms into an Offering
and is absorbed into the bloodlines
of sand and snow ,dirt and wing
Our eyes attracted by the moving
between Heavens and Earthlings..
