MICHAEL DES BARRES LIVE AT THE BOWERY ELECTRIC, MARCH 7TH (from his website)

Michael played at the Bowery Electric in New York on March 7th. A special event, as this was his first concert on the East Coast since the mid-80s. The video clip above of “You’re My Pain Killer” has been posted on YouTube by Candlewoodmedia.
“The show had a particular energy since we only had three hours the day before to get acquainted. The spontaneity and carefree rock and roll DNA glued the magic and mayhem together. It was a crazy, luscious night of hip swinging, metaphysical entertainment”, Michael tells mdbimmedia.com – where you can find more info about the show.

While in New York, Michael also did some interviews. On March 6th he appeared on the Rew & Who show, together with Michael Houghton. He was also a call-in guest on Twisted South Radio. On March 8th he was interviewed for “Handsome Dick” Manitoba’s show on Sirius XM, which will air at a later date.
Other recent interviews include The Night Show on February 28th and a lengthy piece on Duran Duran website dailyduranie.com.
BTW, don’t forget that signed CD’s of Carnaby Street (Encore Edition) and The Key of Loveare now available at bandcamp.com, along with some cool MDB T-shirts!

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
