Rob Ayling writes:
"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" (The wondrous poetpic is by Jack McCabe, who I hope forgives me for scribbling all over it with Photoshop)
A Man Filmed the Heavens for 7 Days What He Saw Fills Us with Joy
MOVING
Sometimes even eye forget that we are moving
experiences.Emotions follow horse and cart
picking up what is left.No return the same.Every one unique!
Photography stills us.Cameras trap us.Movies screen us
Yet are we multi-mediated moments.Heavens above/within us
Wonder ignites brush fire responses.Inflamed via desire
to know and be and embrace more/we journey out
to find where we have not been.Pilgrims.Journeyers.
Even when we pause,or rest, this earth still turns. Before, during and after breath
We are the road before death.Life moves us on,hurrying our learning processes.
Forgetfulness reminds us-we are more than this(and less
Every breath a moving experience.Wander!
