Mayall’s not tiring yet

John Mayall isn’t slowing down at the age of 80 – and he’s enjoying every moment of his current tour, which includes 59 shows over 64 days.

In May he released A Special Life, his first album in five years, and he’ll return to the UK for a run of dates from October 17 until November 26. And he insists there’s more to come.

Mayall tells Courier.co.uk: “59 dates in 64 days seems like a lot to take on, but that’s the way we work. We don’t like to have days off if we can help it – this way it keeps the momentum going.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
