Atkins May Project: German review ( translated)

Atkins May Project

Anthology

Gonzo - CD & DVD
With the debut "Serpent's Kiss" from 2011 which published a year later, "Valley Of Shadows" and the 2014er "Empire Of Destruction" are so far three albums of ATKINS MAY Projects to book, all of which are still recent and readily available. The British and their label Gonzo holds not prevent them from bringing a "Anthology" on the market. The biggest surprise is the only previously unreleased track at the very end: the cover of the Phil Collins hits, In The Air Tonight '. In addition, are actually "only" included pieces that come from the three regular longplayers. For the fans of the outlets there are virtually no incentives to buy. Newcomers may be, however, about the - happy strongest tracks of ATKINS MAY Projects - actually. To listen is an earthy, anthemic tradi-Heavy Metal British traits, reflecting the given routine and sovereignty of the involved musicians. Main songwriter and guitarist Paul May adheres to proven standards, but knows how to please with individual dexterity. The original Judas Priest frontman Al Atkins scores, however, with his distinctive voice and best Storyteller texts. It's quite possible that the "Anthology" comes too early. Who has not yet taken any notice from ATKINS MAY PROJECT, but you should listen.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
