THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

PRACTICE PRACTICE IMPEREFECTION

WE ARE HUMAN(and we need each other-

hence we gather in available spaces..

We need 24 hour Libraries/coffee houses-

places and spaces where dreaming is a public language..

Now that natural habitats are replaced by buildings and houses 

public parks need be not just used for commercial concerts-

may they be also passive recreation spaces where Imagination  

rambles and perambulates with both Space and Time to relax. 

May we begin to re-align with Nature-with gardens,birds,butterflies,bees..

To understand relationships ancient long before us(and afterwards)

There is a beauty in absorbing via reading,and the silence therein..

May we be allowed gentleness with each other-so wisdom and meditation

become embedded in our solar and lunar and star cycles..

We are still learning how to be here-with grace ,and wit,and panache..

May we learn well-all those stories awaiting our active absorption,integration and adaptation..
