KING CRIMSON ANNOUNCE RECORD STORE DAY EXCLUSIVE

King Crimson
Virgin Media

If you love vinyl, semi-frivolous bonus tracks, and classic rock, this is gearing up to be one monster of a Record Store Day. So far, artists like David BowieCreamPaul McCartneyJimi Hendrix, and the Rolling Stones have all announced exclusive RSD releases, and now prog-rock’s elder statesmen, King Crimson, are throwing their hat in the ring with the fittingly-titled ‘Going Schizoid with King Crimson.’
This exclusive release is definitely a bit schizoid. It includes a 10-track CD compilation of live performances (ranging from 1969 all the way to 1998), a band-driven graphic novel based on ‘The Vicar Chronicles’ (described by the band as “semi-fictional stories about the inner madness of the music industry”), and a collectibles bundle of t-shirt, poster, and stickers all based on the artwork from the band’s seminal masterpiece ‘In the Court of the Crimson King.’

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
