LET ME CLARIFY
Even if the peace dove is torn apart by war hawks
Even if the EPA allows poisoned waters and food
Even if the Education Secretary destroys education
Speaking this does not change it
Marching and writing and petitioning power
is what we can do with no access to wealth
Who is to say what is "right"speech-
Are those banned from campus "wrong"?
We have never surrendered.It is just the sniping between allies
that makes for clarification of tactics and strategies
We may never "win".But we are here,and defining our path
is as important as tainting those we regard in error
What if they are right,and economic considerations
allow for the butchering of journalists and abuse of women.
What if our "allies"are tyrants and butchers of their own people?
Let me focus upon a future that is made with and for human beings
while you list and litany the failures of our pasts.It does not change them
What we have is us.and now.and any dreams that we can believe in
and salvage-to make living in this Nicomachean Matrix possible..
