Coupled with the Rise of Surrealism
After the sleep of the 50s,the 60s awoke
to Internationalism and color television
Bye Bye Vietnam War-blood on the screen screams WITHDRAW
Then the 70s distraction-mirror balls,bell bottom jeans,disco
80s stock market greed and Ronald Raygun,90s computer nerds fearing Y2K
Now we are in the 2000s-way past 2001 and (dead)Stanley Kubrick
Covid stole our venues and our energies
It is time for our resurgence
Let us meet on EARTH DAY outside Austin City Hall
Provide positive poetry to defend earth activists
not so much Gaia herself,as she will survive us
She may be ravaged,raped,ridiculously plundered
but she will mutate as she has done other ice Ages
The Fire This Time will simply show us
How easily Earth Resurges!
