HE LIKES TO GO DOWN TO THE BEACH
IT CALMS HIM DOWN,THEN POETRY FLOWS
Waves return,as thoughts,feelings,dreams
When he returns ,he is washed clear and clean
She likes to be beside mountains
It gives her security.Such steadfastedness.Such strength
She does not need to climb-just be beside mass and heights.
He likes to travel-to not be fixed in one spot
He lives in his car.He is an moving artist/activist.
He has created images and philosophies unique
But he keeps being hassled for sleeping in his car on the street.
She is haunted by the death of her son.He was a brilliant one.Now gone
But she will always have an altar in her heart for him.Love taught her remembering.
He knew when he started to fall,it was time to stop driving
So he headed to a rest home within his income, where he remains
He used to have poetry readings at Parsons House
Now he awaits Covid free times,to emerge like a mouse from his house
And you who choose where to be and with whom
Create havens of safety and joy to dispel gloom
Everywhere in this world, there are rooms
in which you can dance and dream. Into which you can move..
