THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

I KNOW IT IS FULL MOON

BY THE CLARITY OF SKY,PLANETS,STARS,CONSTELLATIONS

I know it is almost Autumn-by the leaves/how they fall,colorful,fragile and bright

And that cool chill replacing summer heat..For too long ,drought heat making for hard hearts..

Storm night rain splashed all that away.Now rain barrels gurgle,full as frogs..

Birds emerge in greener branches..Flowers fall from wild-swept raindrops.

Broken branches lie like bodies on our walking path.We are cooler now.Clearer.Brighter.

Autumn is our cheerful season.All mellow and change.Yellows,reds and browns replace

Sun yellow,burnt white  and golden.Earth is richer for these walking pecking dawn lawn birds..

Once,we had wings...
