Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

YOUR TEETH ARE LIKE STARS

(THEY COME OUT @NIGHT!)

Richard Loranger wrote 32 poems-one for each adult tooth

Each poem had the knowledge of four Wisdom Teeth

Eight incisors,four canines,eight premolars and twelve molars

Front line central incisors(first to come then first to go(baby teeth)

Then lateral incisors ,lost between seven and eight(Age is loss..

Then primary first molars go,followed by the primary secondary molars

Finally,your Wisdom teeth may need to leave-you do not wish periodontal disease

Gum massage and flossing often in dereliction-leaves religious(Holy)teeth..

I lost mine at the Brisbane Dental College,where a student pulled the wrong tooth

Oil?Gas?Caries?Nerves? Internalized my poetic inclinations,until he produces a mirror

to show the difference between Holey teeth and the fillings that hold my smiling mouth together

Only when i laugh do we see what is missing-a reason ...
