‘I have this idea of what we could do’: Yes’ Jon Anderson is ready to be in a band again



Since Jon Anderson recovered from a series of ailments that led to his split with Yes, he’s been a fixture on the road — but only as a solo act, or in a duo format with former bandmate Rick Wakeman. That could be changing in 2014.
Anderson, who saw the band he co-founded replace him during that late-2000s convalescence, is ready for a return to collaborative work on a larger scale.
“I’m putting a band together for this year,” Anderson tells 94.5 The Arrow. “It’s in the planning stages. We’ve just been in touch with two or three people. It’s just a question of having a two-month window in the summer, and can we get together. I have this idea of what we could do. I’ve been doing some demos of what a band could be doing these days. You know, I’ve never stopped musically; I’ve just been out there doing solo work.”
