Want to hear some animals without going to the zoo?

Try the Michigan Theater next month when Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Eric Burdon & The Animals bring their searingly powerful British Invasion blues-rock to Ann Arbor.

Burdon and his band will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty Street.

Hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Voices of All Time, Burdon is the singer of a long string of iconic hits like “House of the Rising Sun,” “Spill the Wine,” “San Franciscan Nights,” “Sky Pilot,” “It’s My Life,” “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” the Vietnam-era anthem “We Gotta Get Out Of This Place,” and many more. As front man and driving force of The Animals, Burdon helped shape rock and roll’s DNA.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
